El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo el análisis de la evolución de la delincuencia juvenil en España en los últimos años en aras de demostrar si supone un verdadero problema social. Para ello es necesario empezar haciendo un estudio sobre el origen y la situación actual de este tipo de delincuencia en España, así como su tratamiento en la Ley Orgánica 5/2000 de 12 de diciembre por la que se regula la Responsabilidad Penal del Menor. Con ese objetivo en mente se analizarán los factores o motivos que dan lugar a este tipo de conductas. Por otro lado, se investigarán las distintas teorías que desde el punto criminológico intentan dar explicación a la delincuencia juvenil. Se abordarán de igual manera las estadísticas elaboradas por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística español sobre los delitos cometidos por menores de edad. Finalmente se tratará la influencia de las redes sociales y la presencia de la violencia de género a través de estas en los jóvenes infractores.

The present work has to purpose of the analysing of the evolution of juvenile crime in last years in Spain to demonstrate if it is a real social problem. To do this, it is necessary starting with the study of the origin and the current situation of this type of crime in Spain, as well as their treatment in the Minor Responsibility Law. With this aim in mind, it will be analysed the factors or motives that give rise to this type of behaviours. On the other hand, the different theories that attempt to explain juvenile delinquency from a criminological point of view will be investigated. The statistics provided by the Spanish National Statistics Institute on crimes committed by minors will be addressed in the same way. Finally, the influence of social networks and gender violence by delinquent adolescents.
