Abstract

El objeto de esta tesis doctoral es la de conocer la rugosidad de diferentes elementos ópticos que constituyen el sistema visual ocular. De una parte, la rugosidad de la interfaz corneal que es tratada con cuatro plataformas de láser femtosegundo, y posteriormente un subgrupo con láser excímer, simulando los parámetros y técnicas quirúrgicas del LASIK asistido con femtosegundo en un estudio ex vivo en ojos de cerdo. Con la intención de conocer cómo se modifican las superficies y el lecho estromal y averiguar si existen diferencias entre plataformas con características técnicas y parámetros diversos; así como estudiar cómo se afecta la rugosidad tras la fotoablación con un láser excímer consecutiva. Por otra parte, la evaluación de las superficies de tres lentes de pseudofaquia hidrofóbicas analizadas en condiciones ambientales diferentes, en seco e hidratadas, para detectar si la hidratación de este tipo de lentes modifica su rugosidad. También se ha analizado la superficie de dos lentes fáquicas de apoyo en sulcus, una fabricada en material de colámero y otra hidrofílica para comprobar la existencia de diferencias entre ellas. Hemos encontrado en el análisis de la rugosidad con el Microscopio de Fuerza Atómica que los diferentes modelos de láser femtosegundo generan superficies diferentes; la fotoablación excímer posterior modifica el lecho estromal disminuyendo notablemente la rugosidad. En el ámbito de las lentes hidrofóbicas la evaluación con el Microscopio de Fuerza Atómica ha mostrado que la rugosidad de su cara anterior depende del grado de hidratación de la lente, variable según las condiciones externas. Además, las superficies son diferentes entre los tres modelos. Ente las dos lentes fáquicas también se detectó una diferencia de rugosidad significativa.
