Abstract

This proyect is focused on the feasability analysis of the application of distributed wind technology in the context of energy prosumers. It’s investigated how this technology can be implemented on a small scale for the generation of wind energy at domestic and commercial facilities, allowing the prosumer to generate and consume their own electricity. The impact on the electricity grid, the economic benefits for prosumers and the contribution to environmental sustainability are examined. The technical aspects that may intervene in the implementation of this technology, and in its combination with photovoltaic solar technology, are also considered. The study highlights the potential of distributed wind technology in complement to a photovoltaic solar installation, to foster the energy independence and promote the transition towards cleaner and decentralized energy sources.
