Abordaje del dolor lumbopélvico e incontinencia urinaria de esfuerzo durante el embarazo y dolor durante el parto: propuesta de programa educativo

Abstract

Introducción Durante el embarazo, al menos dos tercios de las mujeres embarazadas sufren dolor lumbar y casi la quinta parte dolor pélvico. Además, a estas alteraciones se le suma que el 39% de las mujeres embarazadas presentan incontinencia urinaria, mayoritariamente de esfuerzo, que puede persistir después del parto. Según el American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), los programas educativos en el embarazo promueven un embarazo activo y saludable, previniendo y minimizando las diferentes disfunciones y mejorando la calidad de vida de la mujer embarazada. Objetivos Averiguar en qué medida se abordan el dolor lumbopélvico, las disfunciones de suelo pélvico y el dolor durante el embarazo y el parto desde los programas educativos y, en base a ello, proponer la implementación de un programa educativo en las mujeres embarazadas para prevenir el dolor lumbopélvico, las disfunciones de suelo pélvico y mejorar el dolor durante el parto. Resultados y Conclusión La evidencia sugiere que existe una necesidad de desarrollar programas educativos que mejoren la salud y el bienestar de la mujer embarazada englobando todas las disfunciones que sufren durante este período de su vida. Por ello, con la propuesta de este programa educativo, se pretende conseguir que las mujeres mejoren sus conocimientos acerca del embarazo y el parto, preparándolas física y emocionalmente para todos los cambios físicos que supone esta etapa.

Introduction During pregnancy, at least two thirds of the pregnant women suffer lumbar pain and almost one fifth pelvic pain. Furthermore, such pathologies are added that the 39% of the pregnant women experience urinary incontinence, mainly stress incontinence, wich may persist after delivery. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the educational programs during pregnancy develop a healthy pregnancy, thereby preventing different dysfunctions and improving the life standards of the pregnancy women. Objectives The main of this study is to find out if in pregnancy educational programs discuss about lumbopelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunctions and pain during labor. Based on this, this study suggests a pregnancy educational program´s implementation to prevent lumbopelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunctions and pain during labor. Results and Conclusions The evidence shows that there is an urgent need to develop pregnancy educational programs wich improve health and wellbeing of the pregnancy women, dealing with all dysfunctions. It is therefore, that with this pregnancy educational program´s implementation, is intended to obtain that pregnancy women improve their knowledge about pregnancy and labor, preparing them physically and emotionally for every physical changes during this stage.
