Tortura y cine

Torture and cinema
Authors: Rivaya, Benjamin;
Abstract

1. CUESTIONES INTRODUCTORIAS. 2. MAPAS DE LA TORTURA EN EL CINE. 2.1. Tortura política y tortura religiosa. 2.2. Tortura de investigación, retributiva y preventiva. 2.3. Actos indescriptibles, gente ordinaria. 3. LA LUCHA CINEMATOGRÁFICA CONTRA EL TERROR, LA JUSTIFICACIÓN DE LA TORTURA Y SU CRÍTICA. 4. EL REFLEJO CINEMATOGRÁFICO DEL CASO VON METZLER Y LA TORTURA DE RESCATE. 5. CONCLUSIÓN. FILMOGRAFÍA. BIBLIOGRAFÍA.

The presence of torture in film narratives is analyzed in this article, within the framework of what can be called “human rights cinema” and it proposes a classification of this cinema of torture. Interestingly, the doctrinal controversies that have ocurred recently about torture also find their reflection in the cinema, which is for or against torture.
