Although its etiology is multifactorial, in this work we have tried to do a review of biological factors related to this etiology for being in them where you can act by feeding allowing prompt and good rehabilitation of the anorexic patient. The literature review shows that anorexic patients have alterations in regions of the hypothalamus related to appetite control and emotions, neurotransmitters, in genetic factors, sex hormone levels ... that could be responsible for some of the clinics manifestations of this disease. Although the treatment of anorexia is multidisciplinary, this work has been restricted to a nutritional context and to an outpatient setting, in which the dietary and nutritional intervention is more effective, applicable from primary care, and allowing pursue a normal life. In these interventions is preferable oral, progressive and monitored feeding with the help of supplementation, if it results.
