Desde hace tiempo, existe bastante acuerdo sobre la importancia de los conectores discursivos en la construcción e interpretación de los enunciados. La cuestión es saber con seguridad cuándo se está ante uno de ellos. Aunque el problema de su identificación siempre ha estado presente, hemos querido volver sobre él reflexionando sobre sus causas, localizadas en el modo de conocer científicamente la realidad lingüística, las palabras empleadas en él y la propia naturaleza del fenómeno. Estas causas forman parte de la propia naturaleza (metalingüística y pragmagramatical) de los conectores discursivos. Desde esta perspectiva, hemos establecido las propiedades de los conectores discursivos, entre las de los otros marcadores discursivos y los otros conectores.

There has, for some time, been considerable agreement on the importance of discourse connectives in the construction and interpretation of utterances. The issue is to be certain when we have one of them in front of us. Although the problem of identification has always been present, we wanted to come back to it reflecting on its causes, located in the way of scientifically knowing the linguistic reality, the words used therein and, the nature of the phenomenon. These causes are part of the nature (metalinguistic and pragmagramatical) of discourse connectives. From this perspective, we have set the properties of discourse connectives, among the other discourse markers and other connectives.
