Estilos de aprendizaje y estilos de enseñanza : de alumna a maestra

Abstract

This article contains some personal reflections on my work as a teacher and some learning experiences as a student. During the analysis of these experiences several learning styles have been reviewed in different stages of the educational process. This reflection reveals the close relationship between learning styles and teaching styles, showing how these educational preferences guide the teaching methods in the teaching practice. The Theory of Multiple Intelligences proposed by Howard Gardner provides the setting for these learning styles. The ultimate goal of this introspection is to be aware of the important role of self-analysis and reflection on the working methods, in order to improve teaching effectiveness and, therefore, the quality of students learning.
