Abstract

Actas del VI Congreso Internacional de Jóvenes Investigadorxs con perspectiva de género (Getafe, 16 - 18 de junio de 2021) organizado por el Instituto Universitario de Estudios de Género de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. El presente trabajo se integra dentro del marco de los estudios gordes, específicamente en el escenario de la comunidad gorde digital de Instagram. En el estudio se quiso determinar la gordesfera como aquel espacio de apoyo y resistencia de la comunidad gorda digital. Esta red social es uno de los espacios digitales donde tiene lugar la resistencia y okupación del espacio frente a la imposición del canon de belleza dominante basado en estructuras heteronormativas, además de blancas. Para la investigación se utilizó la metodología cualitativa dentro del método etnográfico, acompañado de técnicas como la autoetnografía de las investigadoras, la etnografía digital caracterizada por la observación participante, activa, respetuosa y siempre abierta; combinada con la realización de cuatro entrevistas semi-estructuradas online a participantes voluntarios/as/es. Con el objetivo de encuerpar la investigación desde los inicios y acercarse al objeto de estudio de una manera (auto)reflexiva.
