Fotografía y arte feminista en España (1990-2010)

Abstract

La investigación aquí recogida plantea cómo en España, a partir de la década de los noventa, la representación del cuerpo femenino en las imágenes fotográficas realizadas por algunas mujeres artistas, adquiere un carácter subversivo debido al lenguaje corporal utilizado. Estas nuevas representaciones del cuerpo femenino pondrán en cuestión los estereotipos femeninos construidos a lo largo de los siglos de la historia del arte occidental, aportando nuevas miradas y definiciones sobre lo femenino. Este movimiento de arte en España será consecuencia de la influencia del arte feminista desarrollado en Estados Unidos y Europa Occidental a partir de los años setenta. Esta investigación que se enmarca en la colección del arte contemporáneo del MNCARS atiende a los siguientes campos: a) La alfabetización visual b) La estética fotográfica como culminación de la tradición narrativa pictórica. c) Crítica y arte feminista. Feminismo como resistencia a las culturas patriarcales y como análisis revisionista de los modelos creados a lo largo de la historia del arte occidental.
