Abstract

Este artículo ofrece una interpretación sobre los orígenes de la Universidad Obrera Nacional en Argentina, creada durante el primer gobierno de Juan Domingo Perón (1946-1952). Más allá de los objetivos específicos en materia universitaria del gobierno peronista, la Universidad Obrera puede ser entendida como la culminación de un largo proceso de disputas entre sectores de las elites y el estado sobre la educación técnica que debían recibir los trabajadores argentinos. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar esas disputas y sus consecuencias en el largo plazo.
