The youngest claimant to a place among the various systems of psychology is the school of "Gestalt" which has developed in Germany during the last decade. In 1912 Wertheimer, for the first time, stated the principles of a "Gestalt theorie" which has served as a starting point for the members of the new school. Wherever this new method has come in touch with concrete problems, it has not only showed its efficiency in dealing with them, but has also brought to light startling and important facts, which, without the guidance of thistheory could not easily have been discovered.
