Cette étude examine la phylogénie et l'ontogénie de l’évolution des membres du Neodiapsida (Reptilia). Les modèles et les séries d'ossification de membres sont décrits d'ontogénies de neodiapsides fossiles et modernes, aquatiques et terrestres. Les taxa décrits en détail incluent le squamate moderne Varanus tirnorensis, les neodiapsides fossiles Hovasaurus boulei, Thadeosaurus colcanapi, et Claudiosaurus germaini, squamates fossiles aquatiques du Aigialosauridae et du Mosasauridae, et taxa fossiles aquatiques appartenant au Sauropterygia (Cryptocleidus eurymerus) et lchthyosauria Stenopterygius sp.). L'analyse phylogénétique de relations entre diapsides, et en particulier les neodiapsides mentionnes ci-haut, était fait en utilisant des méthodes cladistiques et le programme d'ordinateur PAUP. […]
This study examines the phylogeny and ontogeny of limb evolution in the Neodiapsida (Reptilia). Patterns and sequences of limb ossification are described from the ontogenies of fossil and extant, aquatic and terrestrial, neodiapsids. Taxa described in detail include the extant squamate Varanus timorensis, the fossil neodiapsids Hovasaurus boulei. Thadeosaurus colcanapi. and Claudiosaurus germaini, fossil aquatic squamates from the Aigialosauridae and Mosasauridae, and fossil aquatic taxa belonging to the Sauropterygia (Cryptocleidus eurymerus) and Ichthyosauria (Stenopterygius sp.). Phylogenetic analysis of relationships among diapsids, and in particular the neodiapsids listed above, was conducted using cladistic methods and the computer program PAUP. […]
