Abstract

II. Mesrutiyet Donemi’nde, Ittihat ve Terakki Cemiyetinin iktidari elde etmesinin neticesinde olusan gecici ozgurluk havasinin etkisiyle oldukca fazla edebi eser kaleme alinmistir. Bu eserlerden biri olan “Jonler”, yazari Bekir Fahri’nin Jon Turkler hareketine mensup olmasi dolayisiyla o yillari anlatan bir eserdir. Uzun zaman bir kosede kalmis olan bu eserin bir diger yonu ise oryantalizmin donem insani uzerindeki etkisini yansitmasidir. Zira Batililarin, Doguya hâkim olabilmek icin olusturmak istedikleri algi seklinde tanimlanabilecek olan oryantalizm, yillarca etkili olmus ve hâlâ olmaktadir. Eserler uzerinde bu acidan yapilan/yapilacak incelemeler, toplumun aynasi hukmundeki yazarlarin bilerek veya bilmeden oryantalizmden ne kadar etkilendiklerini ve eserlerine bunu ne kadar yansittiklarini ortaya cikarmaktadir. Bu calismada da “Jonler” romani bu bakis acisiyla ele alinmis ve eserde oryantalizm izleri aranmistir.
