Abstract

Durante el ultimo tiempo se han generado en el pais demandas cada vez mayores sobre los recursos naturales en general y los recursos hidricos en particular. Este crecimiento de la demanda alejada de las necesidades reales de agua se produce en un momento en el cual los recursos hidricos superficiales en una buena medida ya estan comprometidos en el abastecimiento de los usos actuales, y frente a la creciente necesidad de destinar los caudales necesarios para el resguardo adecuado del medio ambiente, lo cual constituye una presion mas a considerar en la creciente evolucion de la demanda por recursos hidricos.
