Abstract

Los identificadores persistentes son referencia única y duradera a una entidad, como un conjunto de datos, un artículo o una persona. Es una cadena de caracteres legible por máquina que se ajusta a un esquema léxico definido y debe estar asociada con una, y solo una, entidad en el mundo. Los identificadores persistentes (PIDs por su sigla en inglés Persistent Identifier) proporcionan referencias únicas y duraderas a entidades y desempeñan un papel crucial en la infraestructura de investigación, ya que permiten la identificación única y de manera persistente a lo largo del tiempo y contribuyen a hacer que las entidades de investigación cumplan con los principios FAIR (encontrables, accesibles, interoperables y reutilizables)
