Abstract

Canadian health spending will continue to rise, despite budget cuts in other areas, the Canadian Federal Government declared last month. Prime Minister Brian Mulroney told the Pan-American Conference on Medical Education that the Government plans to spend C$108 billion on health care in the next five years - a C$25 billion increase.
