I am becoming increasingly concerned for nurses working in hospital settings who are dealing with the terminally ill, in particular those who work without the support of a second nurse. With the present state of flux in the National Health Service and with the hurricane force winds of change that Griffiths has engendered, I fear that nurses working in this field, who are already exposed to a great deal of stress, may find themselves in an impossible situation.
