The study of the pictorial works of Abel Salazar was the outcome of the Master of Techniques and Conservation of Painting’s essay, at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. It was based on all information gathered during the conservation and restoration works held on the collection of the Museum House (2003/4), and the physical and physical-chemical studies undertaken by the Laboratory. It was possible to determine the technique, materials, such as pigments and charges used by the artist on seven of his master-pieces, referring to different periods.
El estudio de la obra pictórica de Abel Salazar dio lugar a la tesis sobre Técnicas y Conservación de Pintura, de la Universidad Católica Portuguesa. Tuvo como base, la información recogida durante los trabajos de conservación y restauración del expolio existente en su casa-Museo (2003/4), y los estudios físicos y físico-químicos llevados a cabo por lo laboratorio. Fue posible descubrir la técnica, los materiales incluso los pigmentos y cargas presentes en siete obras de periodos diversos del artista.
O estudo da obra pictórica de Abel Salazar resultou na dissertação do Mestrado em Técnicas e Conservação de Pintura, da Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Teve como base a informação recolhida durante a intervenção de conservação e restauro do espólio existente na sua Casa-Museu (2003/4), e os estudos físicos e físico-químicos levados a cabo pelo laboratório de exames. Foi possível determinar a técnica, os materiais, nomeadamente os pigmentos e cargas de sete obras de períodos diversos do artista.
