Scongiuri curativi in alcuni ricettari dei secoli XIV-XV

Abstract

Il contributo presenta una scelta di scongiuri inediti tratti da ricettari medici e tecnici compilati tra XIV e XV sec. La piccola raccolta permette di osservare alcune caratteristiche specifiche di questi testi: dal punto di vista contenutistico, si nota come gli scongiuri reperibili nel contesto delle raccolte di medicina popolare siano trattati con pari dignità rispetto alle ricette mediche; dal punto di vista della tradizione dei rituali e dei testi che li tramandano, si apprezzano geografie ampie e continui scambi di materiale, con forte persistenza sia nel tempo sia nello spazio. Residui scritti di una pratica quasi esclusivamente orale e performativa, gli scongiuri sono inoltre testimonianze linguistiche interessanti e vive.
