Abstract

The study focuses on the crucial moments of the wooden sculpture of Catalan imprint in Sardinia in the XIV and XV centuries in relation to the historical, commercial and cultural events, considering the role of the merchants and of the religious orders at the time of the progressive Catalan-Aragonese conquest (from Jaime II to the two Martin), and to its consolidation in the phase of the transfer of the Court in Naples wanted by the king utriusque Siciliae Fernando II de Aragón and Isabel de Castilla.
