This report describes the distribution and behavior of ferrous iron, total iron, and several related chemical constituents in ground waters of the Magothy and Raritan aquifiers in Camden and Burlington Counties. The water-quality discussion is preceded by introductory sections dealing with the geologic and hydrologic framework of the aquifier system. It is hoped that the information presented herein will be of great interest to owners of existent wells, water-works personnel, and individuals or groups faced with deciding where to drill new wells which are likely to yield ground waters low in iron.
