This Ocean County study is one of twelve county studies coordinated by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Coastal Zone Management. This study provides local input, expertise, and a data base for the Ocean County area on the proposed outer continental shelf (OCS) and energy facility development programs within the New Jersey Coastal area. Provided in this study is: an overview of Ocean County, an inventory of natural resources, human resources and land uses, an evaluation of the suitability or unsuitability of OCS and related energy facility sites in terms of environmental and economic impacts.
