Research and Development of 3D Printing Equipment for the Manufacture of Orthopedic Rehabilitation Products

Abstract

The main research objects of the Doctoral Thesis are 3D printing printer software and applications, CAD model preparation and slicing programs, and 3D printer control boards. The main research results include technological improvements and recommendations for the improvement and practical application of 3D printing technologies for the manufacture of orthopaedic rehabilitation devices and their application in other areas. As a result of using the proposed technology, it is possible to make parts more resistant to bending and breaking from PLA and PET-G materials, as well as to reduce electricity consumption by 2–3 % by changing the equipment and settings of the 3D printer control board.
