De todos es conocido que desde la eclosión de Internet se ha popularizado el acceso a la información y que las herramientas para la búsqueda y recuperación de información se han sofisticado enormemente. En este escenario las organizaciones se han dado cuenta –o no– que necesitan, más que nunca, monitorizar, vigilar y analizar la información del entorno para tomar mejores decisiones, ser más competitivas e innovadoras, o, sencillamente, para sobrevivir en un mundo cambiante y en constante evolución.
