Abstract

El presente artículo explora, argumenta y reflexiona sobre el uso de la colección como una herramienta didáctica para la formación del futuro profesorado. Parte de la consideración de que existe una dificultad para hacer llegar al alumnado contenidos que les hagan comprender las prácticas artísticas más allá de las disciplinas convencionales y establecer conexiones con procesos contemporáneos. A menudo limitan el contenido de la educación artística en particular y de la educación visual y plástica en general con actividades tradicionales basadas en la realización manual como el dibujo, la pintura o el modelado. Valoramos la importancia de realizar actividades que les faciliten trabajar, desde la práctica, con procesos artísticos y que les generen nuevos intereses ofreciendo aproximaciones diversas a aquello que consideramos arte. Dentro del abanico de posibilidades, el presente artículo argumenta y reflexiona sobre el uso de la colección y sus posibles variantes. Se argumenta el porqué de su utilización, detallando sus fundamentos, su desarrollo y los centros de interés. Desde un análisis de referentes, establece puentes que permiten conectar obras y artistas con los procesos surgidos durante la realización de la actividad. Analizando aspectos extraídos de los resultados de una práctica real, muestra diferentes reflexiones proporcionadas por el propio alumnado, evidenciando la utilidad práctica del proceso y abriendo diferentes vías que sugieren la continuidad de la propuesta.
