Abstract

Cet article analyse quatre exemples distincts de fiction du djihad : Aqua de Jean-Marc Ligny ; After the Flare de Deji Bryce Olukotun ; Lament for the Fallen et Our Memory like Dust de Gavin Chait. À partir de lectures croisées de ces quatre romans, il interroge l’effort de la fiction pour saisir un avenir sur lequel pèse, entre autres, la menace djihadiste, qui porte en elle le risque d’une dystopie africaine. Il s’agit dès lors d’examiner les ressources convoquées par la fiction pour contrer le risque terroriste et son omniprésence médiatique et convertir peut-être la dystopie en utopie, en recourant au mécanisme de la rétrovolution ou de l’évasion spatiale.
