Reaction of different pepper varieties to meloidogyne spp. Reacción de diferentes variedades de pimiento a meloidogyne spp.

Abstract

La investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la reacción de tres variedades de pimiento (Papri King, Papri Queen y Pimiento morrón cv. ‘Yolo Wonder’) a meloidogyne arenaria, M. incognita y M. hapla, manejadas en casa malla cubierta con plástico, instaladas en bolsas de polietileno con 4 kilogramos de arena esterilizada, a las cuales se inocularon 5000 huevos + juveniles (J2). A los 90 días después de la inoculación, se realizaron las evaluaciones de altura foliar (AF), longitud de raíz (LR), peso seco foliar (PSF), peso fresco radicular (PFR), índice de clorofila (SPAD), número de agallas (NA) y factor de reproducción (FR). En base a los resultados se determinó que todos los tipos de pimiento presentan una reacción de susceptibilidad a M. incognita, M. arenaria y M. hapla, mientras que las variables biométricas AF, LR, PSF, PFR y SPAD manifiestan una reducción en el crecimiento y desarrollo a la presencia de M. incognita, seguidas de M. arenaria y M. hapla.
