Big data analytics is transforming governmental operations by enhancing transparency, accountability, and public trust. Through the use of open data initiatives, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML), governments can analyze vast amounts of data to detect corruption, improve decision-making, and ensure policy compliance. This paper explores the role of big data in governmental transparency, covering key applications such as fraud detection, predictive analytics in governance, and AI-driven public accountability. Additionally, challenges such as data privacy concerns, ethical considerations, and digital infrastructure limitations are discussed, along with emerging trends in AI-powered public sector transparency.
