Mengembangkan Keterampilan Menulis di Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

Menulis merupakan salah satu keterampilan literasi dasar yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa sekolah dasar sebagai fondasi bagi kemampuan belajar di jenjang selanjutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pengembangan keterampilan menulis siswa sekolah dasar melalui pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual dan kreatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif yang didukung oleh kajian pustaka serta observasi kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan menulis pada siswa sekolah dasar umumnya disebabkan oleh rendahnya motivasi, keterbatasan kosakata, serta kemampuan mengorganisasi ide yang masih lemah. Melalui penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual, model pembelajaran berbasis proyek, serta penggunaan media kreatif, siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dalam mengekspresikan ide secara runtut dan menyusun kalimat dengan benar. Guru memiliki peran penting sebagai fasilitator yang memberikan bimbingan dan dorongan selama proses menulis berlangsung. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pengembangan keterampilan menulis perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan melalui latihan, umpan balik konstruktif, dan strategi pengajaran yang inovatif untuk menumbuhkan budaya literasi di sekolah dasar.
