EVASÃO NO ENSINO SUPERIOR

Abstract

Este estudo pretende analisar os fatores que influenciam a evasão discente no curso de Bacharelado em Matemática da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto. A pesquisa concentra-se no período entre 2015 e 2023, no qual a taxa de evasão alcançou alarmantes 87,5%. Os resultados indicam a necessidade de implementação de ações institucionais que promovam a permanência estudantil, tais como a flexibilização de horários, o suporte financeiro, o acompanhamento pedagógico individualizado e a oferta de disciplinas com maior aplicação prática, aproximando a teoria da realidade e fomentando o interesse dos alunos pela área. Ademais, o estudo reflete sobre a atuação profissional do bacharel em matemática, expandindo as perspectivas para além da construção de material didático e da pesquisa científica. Nesse sentido, destacam-se as possibilidades de atuação em áreas da inovação tecnológica, como as exploradas pelo Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) em seu curso de Bacharelado em Matemática da Tecnologia e Inovação.
