El impacto del ausentismo por enfermedades prevenibles en el logro académico

Abstract

El ausentismo escolar ocasionado por enfermedades prevenibles representa una problemática que afecta significativamente el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. La ausencia frecuente a clases limita la continuidad de los aprendizajes, dificulta la adquisición de conocimientos y puede generar rezagos académicos que afectan el desarrollo integral de los niños y niñas. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar el impacto del ausentismo por enfermedades prevenibles en el logro académico de los estudiantes. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental, descriptivo y transversal. La población estuvo conformada por docentes de educación básica, seleccionándose una muestra de 30 educadores mediante un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Como técnica de recolección de datos se utilizó la encuesta y como instrumento un cuestionario estructurado orientado a conocer la percepción docente sobre la relación entre el ausentismo escolar y el rendimiento académico. Los resultados evidenciaron que las enfermedades prevenibles constituyen una de las principales causas de inasistencia escolar y que las ausencias frecuentes afectan negativamente el desempeño académico, la participación en clase y la adquisición de competencias. Se concluye que la implementación de programas de prevención y promoción de la salud puede contribuir a disminuir el ausentismo escolar y mejorar los resultados educativos de los estudiantes.
