Abstract

El incremento de enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles, junto con limitaciones en su detección oportuna, ha configurado un escenario donde numerosos individuos presentan multimorbilidad no diagnosticada, afectando la estructuración de conductas de autocuidado. En este contexto, el estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar dichas conductas considerando factores epidemiológicos y conductuales. Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo explicativo, con diseño no experimental transversal, basado en el análisis de información secundaria proveniente de organismos nacionales e internacionales. El procesamiento incluyó estadística descriptiva, correlación de Spearman y regresión penalizada LASSO. Los resultados evidenciaron una alta carga de riesgo cardiometabólico, destacando un promedio regional de 68.35% en sobrepeso y obesidad, así como asociaciones relevantes entre variables, particularmente entre exceso de peso y diabetes (ρs = 0.71). Asimismo, se identificó que la inactividad física constituye el principal predictor de la variabilidad metabólica, según el modelo LASSO. De manera complementaria, se observó una brecha diagnóstica significativa, con amplios porcentajes de población que desconoce su condición de hipertensión o diabetes, lo que limita la adopción de conductas preventivas. En consecuencia, el autocuidado en este grupo se desarrolla de forma fragmentada, condicionado por la falta de conocimiento clínico, la acumulación de factores de riesgo y las limitaciones en la alfabetización en salud, lo que demanda estrategias integrales orientadas a la detección temprana y fortalecimiento de la autogestión.
