Secuencia para la Generación de Modelos Computacionales de Flujo en Medios Porosos para Simulación Numérica Directa

Abstract

Este estudio presenta una secuencia de herramientas para la Simulación Numérica Directa (DNS) de flujo saturado en geometrías reales de medios porosos, utilizando una probeta de hormigón drenante como modelo. La DNS permite calcular el flujo completo en los conductos irregulares del material, requiriendo la generación de una malla adecuada y la definición de condiciones de contorno consistentes para resolver las ecuaciones de Navier-Stokes. La metodología inicia con el procesamiento de tomografías en formato STL para crear una malla tridimensional del dominio y definir las fronteras para establecer las condiciones de contorno. Luego, se aplica el método de volúmenes finitos para obtener el campo de flujo en la red de poros. Los resultados se comparan con casos de referencia para validar la metodología. Este análisis busca caracterizar con precisión las propiedades hidráulicas del hormigón drenante en condiciones saturadas, proporcionando información clave para el diseño y optimización de componentes de infraestructura urbana.
