Most Thracian cult buildings under mounds share similar compositional scheme of one or more spaces, following each other on a horizontal axis, leading to a main chamber. The access to the building is usually through one single entrance. However, in two cases – in the building under Shushmanets mound and in the one near Pomorie, two separate openings/gates per building could be differed, which is the reason for the definition and study of this particular model in the article. Two different gates designed for one sacred space are described in ancient texts, which will be presented and referred to the case. The defined model is also studied as symbolism, architectural effect and interpretation in order its meaning in the Thracian sacred buildings to be cleared out. Although the theme concerns two particular examples, turns out that it could be referred to the Thracian cult architecture in general, provoking reflection on the message and purpose of this kind of spaces.
