Pengaruh Arah Serat Terhadap Kekuatan Lentur Komposit Hybrid Serat Daun Nanas dan Lidah Mertua

Abstract

Material komposit berpenguat serat alam merupakan alternatif ramah lingkungan dalam pengembangan material struktur ringan. Serat alam daun nanas (PALF) dan serat lidah mertua (Sansevieria trifasciata) merupakan jenis serat alam yang memiliki potensi untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai penguat pada komposit serat alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh susunan arah serat terhadap kekuatan lentur komposit hybrid serat daun nanas dan serat lidah mertua. Spesimen pengujian dibuat dengan 3 variasi arah serat, yaitu 0°, 45°, dan 90°, menggunakan matriks resin epoxy. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode uji lentur 3 titik (3-point bending) sesuai standar ASTM D7264. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa susunan arah serat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kekuatan lentur. Komposit hybrid dengan arah serat 0° memiliki kekuatan lentur tertinggi sebesar 81,548 MPa, diikuti oleh arah serat 45° sebesar 58,619 MPa, dan arah serat 90° sebesar 38,596 MPa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa susunan arah serat yang sejajar dengan arah pembebanan memberikan ketahanan mekanik terbaik terhadap beban lentur.
