
A study on the standard communication format MARC 21 and the demand for its Arabization. It begins with a general definition of the MARC 21 format in terms of its origin and various forms, the components of recordings in it, and the benefits it achieves. It then reviews the various Arab efforts that called for its Arabization, and also presents the results and recommendations it reached. Arab studies demanding the Arabization of MARC 21.
