Depoimento especial: análises acerca da necessidade de protocolo nas delegacias especializadas e celeridade no trâmite via depoimento gravado

Abstract

This study investigates the need to establish specific protocols in specialized police stations for the collection of special statements from children and adolescents who are victims or witnesses of violence. The research, of a qualitative nature, is based on the professional experiences of experts in the field, allowing an in-depth analysis of the benefits, challenges and potential improvements in the process of collecting statements. The results obtained highlight the importance of implementing standardized protocols, which ensure a consistent and respectful approach during the testimony. Professional training is a crucial aspect, as well-trained professionals are able to create a welcoming and safe environment, essential for children and adolescents to feel comfortable reporting their traumatic experiences. In addition, the research emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration, which involves the joint action of different professionals, such as psychologists, social workers and lawyers, to offer comprehensive support to victims. This collaborative approach not only enriches the process of collecting statements, but also ensures that the emotional and psychological needs of victims are met.
