APLICACIÓN DE FOTOGRAMETRÍA CON DRONES Y MODELACIÓN DE INUNDACIONES PARA LA PLANIFICACIÓN URBANA EN CHETUMAL

Abstract

El rápido crecimiento urbano en el Sureste de México en las últimas décadas ha generado la necesidad de comprender el funcionamiento hidrológico de las zonas urbanas para mitigar inundaciones. Chetumal ha experimentado daños significativos por fenómenos meteorológicos e intensas lluvias en áreas antes ocupadas por selvas o humedales. Así, el objetivo del trabajo busca analizar los efectos ocasionados por las inundaciones pluviales en la porción norte de la microcuenca Proterritorio, en Chetumal, considerando la aplicación de metodologías avanzadas de análisis espacial y modelación numérica. Para lograr esto, se emplearon Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) para analizar Modelos Digitales de Elevación (MDE). Estos modelos permitieron delimitar y representar las cuencas del área urbana de Chetumal en 2020. Además, se aplicó la fotogrametría con drones y modelación numérica en espacios públicos y viales propensos a inundaciones de la porción norte de la subcuenca Proterritorio. Se generó la red de flujo en la cual se identificaron velocidades máximas de 0.94 m/s, alturas de inundación de hasta 1 m y un área ocupada por el flujo superficial de 110 ha, donde normalmente se presentan afectaciones severas. También se describió el Coeficiente de Ocupación del Suelo (COS) y el Coeficiente de Uso del Suelo (CUS).
