Abstract

En este trabajo se lleva a cabo la medición de la productividad total de los factores (PTF) de diez sectores industriales en seis países desarrollados mediante la aplicación de técnicas no paramétricas, así como la descomposición de un índice de PTF en sus dos componentes «cambio técnico» y «cambio en la eficiencia» y la valoración de la capacidad del capital tecnológico tanto nacional como foráneo para explicarlos. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto la importancia del capital tecnológico nacional y de los spillovers tecnológicos internacionales transmitidos a través del comercio para explicar el componente cambio técnico de la PTF, no así el «cambio en la eficiencia».
