
In October 2020, a salvage excavation was conducted at Mishmar David (Permit No. A-8856; map ref. 190761–851/636412–505; Fig. 1) in preparation for the expansion of the kibbutz. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by A. Hamami, was directed by Y. Elisha, with the assistance of Y. Amrani and Z. Lotan (administration), R. Toueg and O. Danziger (preliminary inspections), I. Jonish (surveying and field photography), A. Peretz (field photography), M. Abu (plans), A. Dagot (GIS), S. Krispin (metal detection and field photography), M. Shuiskaya (pottery drawing), A. Glick (military finds), Y. Agmon (studio photography of military finds), Y. Tepper (scientific guidance), as well as A. ‘Azab and I. Korenfeld from the IAA Central District.
