Abstract

In January-July and September-October 2014, two excavation seasons were conducted at Tel Hevron (Judea and Samaria License No. L-1-01-2014; map ref. 209725/603671), prior to the establishment of an archaeological park. The excavations, undertaken on behalf of the Archaeological Staff Officer of Judea and Samaria and Ariel University, and financed by the Ministry of Construction and Housing, were directed by E. Eisenberg and D. Ben-Shlomo, with the assistance of P. Eyal and A. Nagar (area supervision), R. Abu Halaf and Y. Al-'Amor (administration), B. Al-Amin Amra (mechanical equipment), A. Hajian and M. Kunin (surveying and drafting), A. Peretz (field photography), Sky View Company (aerial photography), R. Bar-Nathan (late-periods pottery), A. Ackerman (geomorphology), M. Haiman (GPS; documentation of ancient agricultural terraces), E. Eliyahu and N. Yahalom-Mack (excavation; lime kiln), and laborers from the Negev and from Qiryat Arba'.
