During September 2011, a salvage excavation was conducted at the Khirbat Hasan antiquities site in the lower Judean Shephelah, near the Nahal Har'el stream channel (Permit Nos. A-6305, A-6306; map ref. 195700-6650/634200-85), following the installation of a water line by the Mekorot Company. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by Y.
