
In June and July 2011, a salvage excavation was conducted at Yoqne'am 'Illit (Permit No. A-6218; map ref. 2095-8/7279-82), prior to the construction of a residential neighborhood. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Ministry of Construction and Housing, was directed by Y. Marder (flint artifacts), J. Neguer and A. Fahima (mosaic conservation), E. Hemo, Y. Shaltiel and Y. Sa'ad (conservation) and laborers from Shefar'am, 'Ar'ara, Kafr Kar'a and Umm el-Fahm.
