FIBROMIALGIA: ESTRATÉGIAS MULTIDISCIPLINARES NO MANEJO DA DOR CRÔNICA

Abstract

Fibromyalgia is a clinical syndrome characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and cognitive changes, representing one of the leading causes of chronic non-inflammatory pain. This study is a Narrative Literature Review that analyzed the main multidisciplinary strategies used in pain management for patients with fibromyalgia. Scientific evidence indicates that exclusively pharmacological approaches have limited effectiveness, making it necessary to integrate non-pharmacological interventions and psychosocial support. Strategies such as physical exercise, cognitive behavioral therapy, and health education show consistent benefits in reducing pain and improving functional outcomes. A multiprofessional approach has proven essential to address the biopsychosocial nature of the condition. It is concluded that fibromyalgia management should be patient-centered, with integrated and individualized strategies.
