SENTIDOS Y SIGNIFICADOS DEL BIOCENTRISMO EN EL SEMIÁRIDO: IDENTIDAD, NATURALEZA Y SIGNIFICADOS SOCIALES.

Abstract

El biocentrismo, como paradigma filosófico y científico, cuestiona las visiones antropocéntricas predominantes en la interacción humano-entorno. Este estudio analiza cómo las comunidades del semiárido integran saberes y métodos de adaptación ante condiciones climáticas severas. Bajo un enfoque cualitativo y el método fenomenológico-hermenéutico, se exploraron las narrativas de seis (6) informantes clave en el Caserío Los Yabos, Estado Lara, seleccionados mediante muestreo intencional. La recolección de información se realizó a través de entrevistas en profundidad y observación participante, procesando los datos mediante la categorización y triangulación de fuentes. Los hallazgos revelan dinámicas de resiliencia y prácticas agroecológicas sustentadas en cosmovisiones que otorgan valor intrínseco a la vida en todas sus formas. Se concluye que la identidad ambiental en estas zonas está ligada a la preservación de la biota local, lo que demanda políticas educativas que integren el saber ancestral con la gestión sostenible.
