La derivación en lengua de signos catalana (LSC)

Abstract

La presente tesis estudia la morfología de la lengua de signos catalana (LSC) desde un punto de vista lexicalista y morfofonológico a través del proceso de derivación. Los análisis se basan en un modelo integrado a partir de diferentes enfoques sobre morfología y gramaticalización de las lenguas orales y signadas, y en un corpus constituido a partir de diversos recursos de la LSC, con un total de 456 signos anotados manualmente. Según el nivel de análisis, un parámetro formativo ejerce la función de fonema o de morfema. Defendemos que la LSC, como lengua natural y completa, cuenta con morfemas libres y trabados, signos derivados y unidades morfológicamente complejas. A partir de esta premisa, formulamos operaciones de construcción morfológica genéricas y orientadas, teniendo en cuenta que los rasgos simultáneos y secuenciales de un signo deben tratarse en el mismo nivel de relevancia. Describimos morfemas que se adjuntan a una base simultáneamente, como el de oposición <contra>, y secuencialmente, como el agentivo PERSONAag, así como derivados formados por reduplicación. Finalmente, agrupamos las construcciones tratadas en familias léxicas y estudiamos cómo se relacionan internamente los signos. Este estudio nos permite comprender de una forma más concisa y precisa el funcionamiento de la gramática y el componente léxico de la LSC, así como la forma de estructurar el significado al formar un signo nuevo.
