MORTALIDAD POR ACCIDENTE CEREBRO VASCULAR EN LA POBLACIÓN DEL ESTADO DE RIO GRANDE DO SUL, BRASIL

Abstract

Las enfermedades cerebrovasculares están entre las principales causas de muerte a nivel mundial y primera causa en el estado de Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. El objetivo es analizar la tendencia temporal y coeficiente de mortalidad por accidente cerebro vascular en la población adulta del estado de Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil en el período de 2000 a 2021. Se trata de estudio ecológico de series temporales, con datos obtenidos del banco de datos del Departamento de Informática del Sistema Único de Salud – Datasus. Modelos de regresión jointpoint fueron aplicados para analizar la tendencia temporal. El coeficiente de mortalidad por accidente cerebro vascular en adultos de Rio Grande do Sul fue estable durante todo el periodo 2000 a 2021, excepto en el segmento 2019 a 2021, periodo marcado por el aumento en el coeficiente de mortalidad en las edades de 40 a 69 años. Los análisis, tanto de muerte general y de la variación porcentual, mantuvieron un patrón, destacando el sexo femenino como grupo de mayor mortalidad. Concluyendo que en el período de 2000 a 2021, el estado de Rio Grande do Sul se mantuvo estable con perfil epidemiológico predominante en el sexo femenino en las franjas etarias avanzadas.
