PERBEDAAN PENGARUH MYOFASCIAL RELEASE DENGAN STRETCHING TERHADAP NYERI PADA NYERI LEHER NON SPESIFIK

Abstract

Latar belakang: Tuntutan pekerjaan yang semakin berat dengan kebiasaan postur tidak ergonomis dan seringkali menghabiskan sebagian besar waktu dalam bekerja dengan posisi yang monoton dapat menimbulkan gejala fisik berupa ketegangan otot dan nyeri terutama di leher atau dikenal sebagai nyeri leher non spesifik. Nyeri seringkali dapat membatasi kemampuan fungsional keseharian sehingga menjadikan individu mencari pengobatan untuk menangani nyeri leher. Intervensi fisioterapi yang dapat digunakan dalam kasus ini di ataranya myofascial release dan stretching. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh pemberian myofascial release dengan stretching terhadap nyeri pada nyeri leher non spesifik. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan two group with pre and post test. Subjek pada penelitian ini merupakan pekerja pabrik garmen yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi sebanyak 30 orang kemudian dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, masing-masing kelompok mendapat perlakuan sebanyak 6 kali selama 2 minggu. Hasil: Pengukuran nyeri pada penelitian ini menggunakan quadruple visual analogue scale (QVAS). Pada uji beda pre-test dan post-test kelompok I dan kelompok II menggunakan uji t berpasangan didapatkan hasil p=0,000 pada masing-masing kelompok. Sedangkan pada uji beda post-test kelompok I dengan kelompok II menggunakan uji t tidak berpasangan didapatkan hasil p=0,009. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian myofascial release dan stretching efektif terhadap penurunan nyeri pada nyeri leher non spesifik. Namun pemberian myofascial release lebih efektif dibandingkan stretching terhadap penurunan nyeri pada nyeri leher non spesifik.
