Kepemimpinan Keberlanjutan dalam Konteks Indonesia

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tantangan mendasar kepemimpinan keberlanjutan di tengah meningkatnya tuntutan ESG terhadap dunia bisnis. Meskipun perusahaan semakin aktif memproduksi laporan keberlanjutan, target net-zero, dan inisiatif sosial-lingkungan, banyak praktik tersebut masih bersifat simbolik dan belum mengubah model bisnis secara fundamental. Artikel ini menelusuri evolusi konsep keberlanjutan dari pemikiran Rachel Carson, Brundtland Commission, hingga konsep Triple Bottom Line dari John Elkington. Fokus utama artikel terletak pada kerangka Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) yang menekankan tujuh kapabilitas kepemimpinan abad ke-21, termasuk purpose, place, kolaborasi, kreativitas, dan keberanian moral. Dalam konteks Indonesia, artikel menyoroti peluang besar sekaligus tantangan struktural seperti dominasi bisnis keluarga, lemahnya tata kelola, dan institutional voids. Di sisi lain, nilai lokal seperti gotong royong dan musyawarah dinilai memiliki relevansi kuat bagi model kepemimpinan kolektif berkelanjutan. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan keberlanjutan bukan sekadar kepatuhan terhadap regulasi ESG, melainkan transformasi mendasar dalam cara organisasi mendefinisikan keberhasilan, mengambil keputusan, dan menciptakan nilai jangka panjang.
